Amy E. Stratton is a Partner with Moonan | Stratton, LLP where she handles legal matters involving corporate formation and governance, employment law, financing and real estate,  and business succession planning. She also works with clients on estate planning and probate administration.

She is known for her ability to actively listen to and understand her clients most pressing challenges and overarching goals, often approaching their legal needs with both compassion and empathy… and strong advocacy when needed.

In 2020, Amy was recognized by Providence Business News in its Business Women Awards as a 2020 Achievement Honoree  and profiled about the role of estate planning advisers during the COVID-19 crisis. Amy was  recognized by Rhode Island Monthly’s 2023 Excellence in the Law listing for the fifth year in a row in the category of “Wills, Trusts and Estates.” She continues to be included in Best Lawyers in America  in the category of Closely Held Companies and Family Businesses Law, and was, in 2024, also noted for Elder Law and Corporate Law.

Amy graduated with a B.A. in English, cum laude, from Boston College and a J.D. from Suffolk University School of Law.

She is the past president and a current member of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association, where she currently serves on the Emeritus Committee. She is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and active as a volunteer in its Elderly Pro Bono program. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island.

Amy and her partner Kristen Prull Moonan co-chair a team each year for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

She is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
