COMMITMENT TO COMMUNITY

Our commitment to giving back at Moonan, Stratton & Waldman  is evidenced by our active participation in both our profession and the communities where we work and live … from our involvement in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to the Rhode Island Bar Association’s Elderly Pro Bono program to the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Estate Planning Council of Rhode Island. Our partner Amy Stratton formerly served as president of the Rhode Island Women’s Bar Association where she remains active today.

SPEAKING TO PROFESSIONAL GROUPS

We frequently are asked to speak on estate planning issues, ranging from just-the-basics to sophisticated, industry-specific topics.

Recently, we were invited to address family law practitioners about the often-publicized estate planning mistakes made by celebrities and the hot buttons at the intersection of estate planning and family law. We also spoke to a savvy realtors group about the impact of estate planning — and, in particular, intestacy, wills and trusts — on the sale of real estate.

If you are part of a professional group, we would love to share our estate planning experience.

VISIT OUR OFFICES

When you visit our office, you’ll see we are in the heart of the East Side with water views of rowers on the Seekonk River and an office park that includes business professionals, entrepreneurs and lunch-hour walkers as well as the Waterman Grill restaurant. Once in a while, on Fridays, you may even be greeted by our sweet firm mascot Libby.
